Aunt Vadge: I got too friendly with a Jacuzzi and hurt myself

Hi Aunt Vadge, 

I got too friendly with the Jacuzzi jets in my hot tub on Sunday. Four days later, my vagina is sore and skin on my labia area got torn and bruised. What should I do to alleviate pain and discomfort?  How long to heal?  Ouch…

Dear No More Jets,

You sound like you have really damaged yourself, but luckily it will heal over time with some TLC. You will need to follow the instructions for how to care for vulvar wounds. Also, think about what you would do differently next time! Your poor vulva has taken a beating.
