How is a Juno test different to other tests?

• A culture grows bacteria in a petri dish. Some grow better than others in this environment, while others don’t grow at all – so are never detected or treated. Juno looks for microbial DNA and RNA, dead or alive, so finds everything.
• A PCR test is limited to a selection of bacteria, and tells you what is and isn’t present from that list. But what about the bacteria not on the list? Juno tests don’t tell you what wasn’t found; only what was.
• NGS is the most advanced testing available for the vaginal microbiome.
