I had been dealing with BV on and off for a year before I bought these strips. I had no idea what my pH actually was and was a bit intimidated by all the numbers, is high or low good or bad, that sort of thing. First test came back dark green 5.5 and I did other remedies from this website which I won’t go into as I’m still doing them, but I have been testing twice a week during treatment and am now consistently hitting 4.0 which is a supreme thrill!!! I am now a convert to daily ph testing and I may do this forever, the vagina equivalent of my daily dopamine hit LOL 🤗 good strips, the roll last for EVER

Good testing paper. I use these as a regular monthly check. I test on a set day each month as part of my routine. Three months ago my reading came back at 5.5 when I was expecting 4.0 and I had no symptoms at all. Obviously I panicked! I contacted my gyne and she told me to calm down and restest each day and see what happened.
Sure enough it went back down to 4.0 lol I’m a hypocondriact for sure. This is not strips, but a roll of testing paper that you rip a bit off and get some moisture on it to test. Super easy to do, the pack has the colors on it, peice of cake.

Accurate and super easy to operate with one hand! My pH was 5.5 which explained SO much. Using these to track if my treatments are working. Color matches the chart perfectly every time. Worth it just to understand what’s happening down there.

Left my old ones next to the shower like an idiot and they went all weird from the steam. Bought these, keeping them in my bedside table this time. They work.

Ok so the strips work fine but can someone tell me what the numbers actually mean?? Mine says 5.0 and I don’t know if thats bad or not. There’s nothing in the package that explains it. I had to go on the website and watch the video which was helpful but shouldn’t that info come WITH the strips?

Does the job. Matched what the GP got when I went in for a checkup so I trust them.

Perimenopause has my pH all over the place. These help me keep track without going to the GP every five minutes. Good value. Roll needs to be kept in a sealed watertight bag imo because once it’s open, it seems to be affected by moisture in the air. Keep tightly wrapped and they are fine. Good strips.

Accurate. Good price. The roll format makes more sense than the individually wrapped ones.

I have an abnormal odor the color on my strips is dark green. Does this mean an infection? should I see the clinic?

Bought these to track whether my BV treatment was actually doing anything. Before treatment I was sitting at 5.5, now I’m at 4.0 after three weeks. Being able to see the number go down has been really reassuring because otherwise I’d just be guessing. Only thing is the difference between 4.0 and 4.5 on the colour chart is really subtle in bathroom light. I take it to the window now.

Tested at home, got solid deep green 5.0, took a photo next to the colour chart and showed my telehealth doctor. She prescribed treatment without me having to go in for a swab. Worth every cent just for avoiding that experience.

Very good strips, I prefer these over the cotton swab type as you have more control. Very accurate, I can recommend these.

My partner actually bought these for me because I kept complaining about having to go to the GP just to check my pH and get tested. Now I can do it at home in 5 seconds. He was right, this is much better. The readings seem accurate, they matched what the nurse got last time I went in. Really happy to be able to now keep an eye on my pH and only go into the clinic when I have to.

I’ll be honest I test my pH basically every day now and I know that’s probably overkill but I can’t help it lol. My pH was all over the place before treatment and now it stays around 3.8-4.2 which is apparently normal. These strips make it cheap enough to be this obsessive about it. The only annoying thing is natural light vs bathroom light makes the colours look totally different so I always check near a window now.
I wish the colour differences between readings were more obvious. Like 4.5 vs 5 looks basically the same to me but this is the difference between BV and healthy? But overall really good, cheap and easy to use compared with single use swabs.

Accurate and easy to use. Don’t leave them in your bathroom or they’ll get wrecked pretty quickly from the humidity.

These strips work as described. For me with colour blindness, the colours could be better, but that’s not their fault!
why is single use packaging so damn conveneint –
✔ Verified Purchase
The ph testing kit is easy to use, and the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I left the roll in the bathroom and it got water on it and now the whole colour hs changed of the whole roll and I think it’s useless now so I wasted my money. I hate individually packaged ph strips, its such a rip off, but now I realise why they are good 😢

Worked pretty well and was simple to understand and use. The results show me my acidity and bacteria levels.
I then had a teledoc appointment and then could go to the pharmacy for my prescreiption. Didn’t have to go to a doctors office or urgent care that would have been time and money sitting around and that’s not even the bad bit, if I can avoid pulling my pants down I will be doing so.
The teledoc knew what the problem was and it was so much less embarrassing than the doctor sticking their hands up you with a caving torch on their head squinting up at your crotch.
God bless home testing kits!

This is the best brand I’ve used! I’ve used quite a few brands that were much more expensive for just one testing stick.
I saw this was a good price and was sceptical about how good it can be, but then I researched the brand and it is a proper science company that only makes acidity and alkaline testing kits.
So, I tried it, even though vacation was coming up and money is tight. I’m 44 now so balance is sometimes not what it was.
I like these because they are VERY efficient for the price, you can use as much or little as want of the roll of testing paper, and I need to save money but keep myself healthy so this is a perfect situation for me.
I hope they keep it this price and same brand.

There are some seriously useless and overpriced ph strips for sale and these are good ones. As someone who is frankly completely obsessed with my pH, I’ve been around the block with it lol so you can trust me!

Hi Robin, there is a link to the instructions in the product description – https://myvagina.com/test-vaginal-ph-at-home/ – which also includes a video on how to use the strips, and range guidance so you understand where you’re at. We are always here to help, so get in touch, use Aunt Vadge’s Assistant (bottom left of your screen) or search the site for help. There’s plenty! 😁

The strips are easy to use.
My two criticisms are 1. There aren’t instructions in what reading is within the normal range. For example, is 5.5 in the normal range? 2. Is 5.5 normal? What’s higher than that? When is it time to see a doctor?

These are the best strips so far, though they are a little clumsy to use. if you follow my vagina’s instructions (THE WEBSITE LOL) they have a great little video to show you how to use them. More accurante than anyothers, can recommend.

Well, I’ve tried many ph strips, most of them are f**king expensive for a single q-tip in a single use package, total waste of plastic and the environment, it drives me totally batty while we’re trying to solve serious environmental problems. These strips yes, they come in a plastic container, but it’s hard plastic which MIGHT be able to b recycled, and the whole roll is just a whole roll, so you use what you need and them the rest is waiting when you’re ready. Ph is important ladies and this paper roll really is the best of what we’ve got available. Mine last for ages and ages, and you only really need a little piece of th epaper to get a reading. No need for big bits, so long as you’re ok putting a little bit of your finger into your vag, which c’mon gals, don’t be squeamish!!!
