Cause of urinary tract infections (UTI) in older adults, often misdiagnosed due to problems isolation and identification of species. Naturally resistant to two most commonly used antibiotics for UTI​1​.

Can be dangerous for the elderly and those with underlying conditions​2​.

Found in urine, pus, blood and sperm cultures​3​.
