Aerococcus christensenii in the vagina

Isolated from the human vagina¹, emerging human pathogen². Has caused chorioamnionitis in pregnant women³.

Often misidentified as streptococci in labs, resulting in underrepresentation in infections².

Full genome sequencing was performed in 2016⁴.
