Corynebacterium pyruviciproducens in the vagina

Isolated from the human vagina.

May stimulate macrophages, have immunoregulatory properties. Macrophages remove pathogenic bacteria. Promotes antibody response in vivo. Activates macrophages, causes sharp release of interleukin-6 and tumour necrosis factor-α. Promotes host humoral immune response to pathogenic micro-organisms. ​1​
