Official study information

We are recruiting patients diagnosed with Recurrent Vulvovaginal Candidiasis (RVVC) for our study, “Efficacy of Intravaginal Combination Therapy of Acetic and Lactic Acid (ICTALA) in premenopausal women with Recurrent Vulvovaginal Candidiasis – A Randomized, Double-blind Placebo Controlled Clinical Trial”.

We are looking for pre-menopausal women with RVVC, who are otherwise healthy.

The trial recruitment is Australia wide with teleconferences and phone calls being used for participant contact. Local Queensland residents who are able to supply samples within a timeframe are invited to consent for additional studies on the fungal and bacterial microbiome at three timepoints in addition to hormonal assays.

Check out the trial at the Griffith University website.
