Chilean health authorities have discovered a potentially dodgy batch of Chinese-made condoms distributed free in family health centres.
A health warning has been issued, with three batches totalling 1.7 million Kaiju condoms have been withheld while the investigation continues into breakages due to small sizes.
The health warning is a preventative measure, and users are warned to take extra care and not use the condoms that have already been distributed. The problems arose, the public health authority spokesperson said, due to a possible problem with incorrect storage.
Kaiju said in a Facebook post that the product had arrived in Chile in 2014 and 2015, and had been fully tested without issue.
