Condyloma lata (syphilis-related genital warts)

Condyloma means wart (or in Greek, ‘knob’), but it is specific to the genitals. Condyloma lata are specific to the secondary form of syphilis, and are located on the moist folds of the genitals and anus.

The warts are highly infectious, and are red, mushroom-like masses up to 3mm in diameter. The warts have a broad base, with eroded, flat surfaces.
