Aunt Vadge: I cut my clit accidentally

Hi Aunt Vadge,

I was having a bath an the very end of my clit was sore and there was a slight burning feeling. I looked at it with a mirror and found a very very small cut. I think I cut it with my fingernail while washing it, maybe wiping. I have read that I should wash with warm water and to wear loose and cotton clothing.

Is there anything else I can do to stop the irritation when I move naturally? Is there anything that I should be doing? Should I tell my mom? I don’t really want to. I am worried because this is the first time this has happened to me.

Dear Worried,

You can use a little paw paw or other soothing cuts ointment or cream to help keep your clitoris flexible while it heals. You don’t have to tell your mum! Your clitoris will heal up very quickly and you’ll be completely fine. Just remember to be careful with fingernails next time!

You are doing all the right things. Be gentle – it’ll heal just like any other cut, but faster.
