How to Do a Vaginal Irrigation Treatment at Home

A vaginal irrigation is a method of treatment delivery directly to vaginal tissue using a heavily diluted herbal mixture.

If you have been instructed to use a vaginal irrigation by your practitioner, follow their advice, and if you’re unsure about how to do your treatment, contact them.

How to do a vaginal irrigation

Shake blend before every use.
Measure 2mL of liquid herbal medicine with 8mL of water in the measuring cup provided.
With your legs up (if possible), insert the syringe about 1/2 inch to 1 inch into your vagina, and squirt the liquid, emptying the syringe.
Hold in as long as possible, ideally 3-5 minutes, with hips tilted up and legs against a wall in a (clean) shower, bath or on a towel against a wall.
Use the vaginal irrigation 1-2 times per day, or as needed or instructed by your practitioner.
If you have mobility restrictions, sit on the toilet and repeat the irrigation three times per day, and/or extend your treatment to approximately 10 days.
After 5-7 days of treatment, stop and take a break and check symptoms and vaginal pH (if applicable).
If symptoms persist, resume treatment for another 3 days. If symptoms are not improving, discontinue use and contact us for support.
Do not use for more than two consecutive weeks without practitioner guidance.
