I’m a swim teacher – will the BV treatment still work if I’m in water all day?

Swimming with BV treatments

TL;DR

As a swim teacher concerned about BV treatment effectiveness while in water, rest assured that treatments remain effective. The vulva acts as a barrier, and for oil treatments, using a tampon ensures the treatment’s contact with vaginal walls. For any issues, support is available via email.

Swimming with BV treatmentsI am a lifeguard and teach swimming lessons and am in the pool four days a week – will the BV treatment still work?
_____

There is no reason why the Killing BV treatment shouldn’t work, water or no water, since the treatment is inside your vagina, protected from the water by your vulva.

When your vulva is tucked into your swimsuit, it effectively seals it off – water doesn’t go into your vagina. If you are using the oil treatment (from the 6th Edition), we recommend using a tampon with your treatments, since that will ensure the treatment stays in contact with your vaginal walls for the entirety of the treatment time.

If you are having any issues with your treatments, email us via the support section for help.
