The EstroBoost Vaginal Pessary can be used alone or with any of the Killing BV treatments, as a starter treatment for two weeks to prepare the vagina for the next treatment.
EstroBoost has four ingredients: fennel-infused olive oil, pomegranate oil, sea buckthorn oil and organic cocoa butter oil. The fennel and pomegranate have a slight oestrogenic effect which strengthens and thickens vaginal epithelial cells and improves tissue performance. Pomegranate is also microbe modulating.
Use EstroBoost for vaginal dryness, irritation, soreness, and other uncomfortable vaginal symptoms associated with lower levels of oestrogen, such as late-stage perimenopause, postmenopause, breastfeeding and post-breast-cancer anti-oestrogen treatment.
Safety first, kids!
Don’t use EstroBoost if you are pregnant, have high oestrogen/relative oestrogen excess, or are allergic to any of the ingredients.
Do not use EstroBoost if you have cytolytic vaginosis or high lactobacilli counts, as it may worsen symptoms.

Filling the pessary moulds
Heat the bottle of pessary mixture gently. Do not boil or microwave. Sit the bottle in hot water until all ingredients are fully melted. Gentle shake to combine the oils.
Using the dropper, fill the pessary moulds. Keeping the pessary mould upright, put into the fridge or a cool area, covered, for 20-30 minutes until the pessaries solidify.
Store unused pessaries in the fridge or freezer in an airtight container wrapped in a paper towel, slightly separated from one another to avoid conjoined pessaries.
Using the EstroBoost vaginal treatment
Once solidified, pop the pessary out of the silicone mould by pushing on the bottom and squeezing.
Insert the pessary deep vaginally each night before bed. Oil may leak a little, so dress accordingly. It shouldn’t stain, but don’t take any chances with fine underwear!
If you want to use a glove or another applicator, feel free to do so, but a clean, dry finger/thumb is suitable.
You can rub the oil over other areas if you have symptoms, including around the perineum and anal area. Any skin or tissue surface benefits.
Use EstroBoost pessaries while you sleep for the best results.
You can use the EstroBoost Vaginal Pessary alongside other treatments, but use treatments at opposite ends of the day.
Use for two weeks before the four-pronged approach or other treatments.
If using alone, use for two weeks and then stop and see how you feel. Repeat as necessary.
Sex with EstroBoost
You can have sex with EstroBoost in the vagina, but as always, avoid semen in the vagina during treatments.
Do not use latex condoms with EstroBoost, as oil degrades latex.
EstroBoost needs to touch the vaginal walls to be effective, so it is typically best to put in last thing before sleep, after sex, rather than before, as it is an oestrogenic treatment, and not useful for penises or penis treatments. But, it is also not harmful for penises.
Tips and tricks for using EstroBoost Vaginal Pessaries
- Cool the pessaries gently to avoid the cocoa butter cracking. Avoid the freezer.
- If the pessary does crack, just insert both halves and if it breaks up too much, gently remelt and pour again.
Storage of oils
The pessary mixture is stable at room temperature, but store in a cool, dry place and avoid sunlight or other heat or light sources.
